How to Use the Call Park Feature
The Call Park feature lets you place a call on hold in a shared "parking slot" and retrieve it from a different extension or device. This is useful when you need to transfer a call to a coworker at another desk, or step away and pick the call back up from another device.
Note: Call Park must be enabled for your user account. If you're not seeing parking slots, please reach out to Wired Nation Support at [email protected] or 289-481-1441.
What Call Park Offers
- Separate parking slots for different groups/teams of users
- Automatic notification when a call is parked
- Real-time status (BLF) of each parking slot, so you can see at a glance whether a slot is occupied
- Caller ID is preserved and displayed when you retrieve a parked call
Parking a Call
- During an active call, open the dial pad from the active call panel on your device.
- Dial #6.
- The call will automatically be placed in the first available parking slot, and the caller will hear hold music while they wait.
Your extension is freed up immediately, and the call remains held in that parking slot until someone retrieves it.
Retrieving a Parked Call
- Go to the Contacts tab (labeled Users in the PC/Mac app) and select the parking slot holding the call you want to retrieve.
- Confirm the action in the pop-up window. You'll then be connected to the call that was waiting in the parking slot.
