Call Hunting
Overview
Call Hunting is a call distribution method where multiple members are called one after another until someone answers the call.
This is useful for ensuring calls are handled efficiently across a team.
How Call Hunting Works
- Calls are routed through a list of members
- Each member is rung for a specified time
- If no answer, the system moves to the next member
Ring Order Options
1. Follow Order
- Calls members sequentially:
- Ring 1 → Ring 2 → Ring 3 → etc.
2. Random Order
- Members are called in a random sequence
Supported Member Types
You can include various destinations in a Call Hunt:
- Devices
- Call Forwarding
- Ring Group
Additional Features
Play Recording Before Hunting
- Play a message before call distribution begins
- Example: “Please hold while we connect your call”
Music on Hold
- Plays music while the caller waits for an answer
Press 1 to Accept Call
- Requires the recipient to press “1” to accept the call
